Ultrasound Trainee (Bendigo)

Are you a qualified radiographer seeking to advance your career in sonography?

An exciting opportunity exists to join our highly committed and friendly team here at Bendigo Radiology. As a team deeply committed to providing quality health care to our local community, you’ll be supported by your peers in a nurturing and encouraging environment as you progress through your academic studies.

At Bendigo Radiology, we have a long history of training quality Sonographers via an established and proven training program.  Our ultrasound students receive a diverse training experience, guided by committed, knowledgeable tutors in private practice and hospital settings. This comprehensive training results in proficiency across a broad case mix and includes exposure to examinations often considered advanced practice by course completion (General, Obstetric, Small Part including Breast, Musculoskeletal, Paediatric and Vascular examinations).

As an ultrasound trainee, you’ll enjoy a full-time position with 40 hours/week, RDO accrual, a generous five weeks of annual leave, and a competitive salary package. While undertaking your studies, we will ensure you maintain your radiography skill set and are willing to provide training in CT / operating theatre/catheter lab, etc., as required to allow participation in our on-call radiography schedule for additional supplementary income.

Upon qualification, we aim for our staff to continue their career enhancement and skill development through participation in our active in-house CPD calendar. Our sonographers maintain their radiographic skills, allowing diversification of practice post qualification, which results in enhanced job satisfaction and optimal OH&S practice.

The successful applicant will display fundamental anatomical knowledge, excellent clinical and communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and a positive work ethic. Your role is integral to our team, and your contribution will be valued.

Bendigo Radiology has developed close associations with Monash University (Melbourne) and the University of South Australia. However, we are open to accepting students enrolled in, or currently undertaking alternate programs upon application. With an immediate start date available for radiographers, the candidate would commence theoretical academic studies in Semester 1 of 2025.
