Step Three: Multi-Factor Authentication

Bendigo Radiology is introducing Multifactor Authentication (MFA) from the 1st Of September 2025.

Privacy has always been a core expectation of our patients, and now with rising threats to data security, we have no alternative but to implement multi-factor authentication on our PACS to further enhance our cyber security posture while safeguarding patient information.

Multi-factor authentication is an effective control for preventing and deterring cyber criminals from gaining access to systems and accessing sensitive data.

The implementation of MFA aims to provide a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity that covers the whole spectrum of identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

The roll out will be staggered and we will attempt to contact our existing users at least one week prior to enabling the feature on their account.

Please download the setup guide and please don’t hesitate to contact our IT Help Desk should you require assistance.
