The process of receiving a general X-ray is straightforward and quick. When you arrive for your X-ray, you may be asked to change into a gown and remove any metal objects, such as belts or jewellery, that could interfere with the image clarity. You'll then be positioned on an X-ray table or stand against a device that holds the X-ray film or digital recorder. Depending on the area being examined, our technicians ensure you are comfortably positioned before briefly exposing you to X-rays. The X-rays pass through your body, capturing an image based on the varying absorption rates of different tissues, with bones creating a distinct shadow due to their density.
